‘Attack, Attack, Attack!’ – Paul Merson reveals who he is backing in the Man City vs Liverpool clash
Manchester City take on Liverpool in one of the most highly anticipated Premier League games of the week at the Etihad today.
City have yet to beat Liverpool under the stewardship of Jurgen Klopp, failing to defeat in German manager in four attempts.
Former Arsenal star and football pundit Paul Merson feels that City have the edge against the Reds.
Merson feels that both sides strength is in their attack.
“These two teams play one way and one way only – attack, attack, attack!,” Merson was quoted as saying in his Sky Sports column.

As Merson predicted Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could struggle to cement a first team place in the Liverpool side with Henderson and Emre Can ahead of him in the pecking order.
“Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will be hoping to make his Liverpool debut but with England captain Jordan Henderson and Emre Can, who I’m a big fan off, set to play I don’t see him getting a game. That’s unless he plays out of position but I thought he went to Liverpool to play in central midfield, no?,” he added.
Finally Merson revealed that he feels City have an advantage on the basis of having a ‘slightly better’ defence.
“I can’t see anything but goals in this game. Both are brilliant going forward and not great at the back. However, I’m just going to side with City because I believe they are slightly better at the back,” he said.
