Barcelona crushed rivals Espanyol 4-1 at the Nou Camp in the Copa del Rey Last 16 first-leg.
Turkish international star made his official debut for the reigning La Liga champions six months after joining as a result of the FIFA transfer ban being lifted.
Espanyol got off to a great start when Caicedo opened the scoring on nine minutes wrapping up a breakneck counter attacking move.
Messi got Barcelona back in the game a few minutes later and then scored the goal of the game with a terrific free-kick effort that hit the cross-bar on the way in.
Pique scored the home sides third early in the second half and Neymar wrapped up a convincing win with a delightful volley two minutes before the final whistle.
Turan put on a spirited display and did not look like a player that had not played a single club game for the first-half of the season. The bearded winger was fielded on the right side of the midfield-three replacing Rakitic and played alongside Busquets in the middle and Iniesta on the left.
The last time the 28-year-old played in the Spanish Cup he ended up famously throwing his boot at the linesman and he was almost involved in an altercation with Espanyol keeper Pau early on.
Turan had 64 touches in total making 43 passes with an 81 percent accuracy and won five out of six attempted tackles. The bearded winger had the chance to score shortly before being replaced by Rakitic on 68 minutes but was denied by the keeper.
