Barcelona have refused to meet Borussia Dortmund’s deep-lying playmaker Ilkay Gündoğan according to Mundo Deportivo.
The report state that Gündoğan’s agent requested a meeting with the Catalan club however, the UEFA Champions League winners turned down this request.
The likelihood of the transfer could hinge on Barcelona’s upcoming Presidential election. The report goes onto state that La Liga giants are also unsure about the players fitness following his 14-month spell on the sidelines.

Gündoğan may yet remain at Dortmund for the 2015-16 season according to the clubs CEO Michael Zorc.
The 24-year-old has also been closely linked with Bayern Munich, Arsenal and Barcelona over the past month.
The deep-lying-playmaker will make a decision regarding his future “as soon as possible,” according to a statement the Dortmund midfielder published on his official Facebook page.
The Germany international played a staring role in Germany’s 7-0 victory over Gibraltar on last week.
Gündoğan finished the season with five assists and three goals in 33 appearances in all competitions.
