Barcelona haven’t given up on Arda Turan yet as news has emerged that the Catalan giants have a plan in place to get the Turkish international back on track.
The daily Spanish newspaper Sport has reported that Turan has been given a personal training programme and diet plan to get the 29-year-old back to full fitness after a difficult season.
The report goes onto state that Turan has been told to reduce his commercial commitments in Turkey and maintain an organised life off the pitch.
Turan joined Barcelona from Atletico Madrid lsat summer but only made he debut in January due to a transfer ban imposed on the club. The period without first team football un undoubtedly had an effect on the flamboyant midfielder as he struggled to gain full match fitness towards the end of the season.
The former Galatasaray star also struggled with the Turkish national team during Euro 2016 resulting in the fans jeering his name during Turkey’s 3-0 defeat to Spain.
