Barcelona star Arda Turan was closely linked with above to Arsenal and several other Premier League clubs over the summer transfer window.
The Sun reported over the transfer window that Barcelona were ready to accept a cut-price £23 million deal for Turan.
Turan denied the claims in his most recent televised interview with NTV Spor.
“Barcelona did not want to sell me, it was not even considered. This was just something dreamt up by the newspapers,” Turan said.
The Turkish international has got off to a great start to the season and already has three goals and three assists in six appearances for the La Liga champions in all competitions.
Turan scored just two times over the course of last season and setup a total of four goals. The 29-year-old did however, miss the first six-months due to the FIFA transfer ban imposed on the club.
The experienced winger started the current season deputising for Neymar who was on international duty and has been used in various positions in midfield since his return.
In other Barcelona transfer news the the Spanish giants are interested in Arsenal full-back Hector Bellerin but could face competition from Manchester City according to the Manchester Evening News.
