The debate over who is better, Barcelona star Lionel Messi or Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo shows no sense of abating.
Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan became the latest player to wade into the Messi-Ronaldo rivalry during a Q&A on his official Twitter account.
Gundogan was asked to pick between the Argentinian forward and Ronaldo to which he responded Messi with the monkey emoji.

The Germany international of Turkish origin has played with neither player but he was part of the City side that beat Barcelona 3-1 at the Etihad in the Champions League group stages.
Gundogan put on an impressive display during the victory scoring a brace to help earn his side a memorable victory.
The midfielder has however, been ruled out with an ACL injury since December and will not feature in the Champions League Last 16 clash against Monaco on 21 February.
Messi and Ronaldo are two of the most successful players of their generation winning countless domestic and Champions League trophies between them.
The Portuguese international has lifted the Champions League three times – twice with Real and once with Manchester United – while Messi has won the trophy four times.
Messi has won the La Liga eight times while Ronaldo has lifted the Spanish league title just once – although he does have three Premier League title to his name.
Ronaldo has however, won a major international trophy – the European Championship 2016 – while Messi has yet to win a World Cup or Copa America with Argentina.
