Basaksehir demand Chelsea increase their offer for wonder-kid to £10.5m, Tottenham also in race

Basaksehir are demanding that Chelsea increase their offer for Cengiz Under to £10.5 million [€12m] according to reports in Turkey.

Turkish newspaper Milliyet report that the Blues are prepared to offer £6.6 million [€7.5m] for the 19-year-old.

Per the source, Basaksehir are not prepared to allow their rising star to leave for below their valuation.

Under has openly stated that he wants to play for either Chelsea or Manchester United and that he believes he is ready for Premier League football.

“The league I really want to play in is the Premier League and I would also love La Liga,” Under recently stated.

“I dream of playing for Manchester or Chelsea, also Barcelona or Real Madrid.”

Freiburg are reportedly willing to offer £7 million [€8m] for Under with the promise of regular first-team football.

The Bundesliga outfit did sign Caglar Soyuncu from Altinordu last season.

The 20-year-old centre-back went onto become a first-team regular for Freiburg.

Like Soyuncu, Under also rose through the ranks of the Altinordu academy.

The report also claims that Tottenham and Lille are in the race for the Turkish international.

The Istanbul minnows would have to pay 30 percent of any transfer fee to Altinordu as part of the deal they signed last summer.

The young forward established himself as a first-team player at Basaksehir playing a key role in the Istanbul minnows finishing the league as runners-up.

The 19-year-old scored nine goals and seven assists in his debut Super Lig season.

Under also has an impressive international record, scoring twice in his two starts for Turkey.
