Basaksehir – Galatasaray: Key Test For The Lions, Badou Ndiaye Returns, Henry Onyekuru Hoping To Start

Galatasaray take on Basaksehir in the Super Lig on Saturday in an Istanbul derby clash they simply have to win.

The Lions are currently eight points behind league leaders Basaksehir in the Super Lig, a defeat would see them drop 11 points behind.

The Istanbul giants suffered a 3-2 defeat against Porto in the Champions League midweek but still managed to book a place in the Europa League.

Galatasaray meanwhile will welcome back Fernando, Serdar Aziz and Badou Ndiaye from suspension. Fatih Terim is still facing an injury crisis with Younes Belhanda, Sinan Gumus and Emre Akbaba out injured. Meanwhile, Ryan Donk is suspended for the reigning Super Lig champions.

Stoke City loanee Ndiaye is almost certain to start in midfield. Everton loanee Henry Onyekuru meanwhile will also be hoping to get the nod.

Terim meanwhile is serving a touchline ban as is his assistant manager Hasan Sas.

Basaksehir will be without Manuel da Costa who is suspended and the injured Alparslan Erdem.

The league leaders have won six of their last seven games in the league and have beat Galatasaray in their last three head to heads.
