Basaksehir v Besiktas: Is the fairytale still alive? – Confirmed lineups
Basaksehir take on Besiktas at home today hoping to keep their fairytale alive.
Abdullah Avci’s boys are currently second in the league, seven points behind leaders and defending champions Besiktas.
Basaksehir are rather fortunate to have Volkan Babacan available considering last weeks antics.
A few Basaksehir players including the keeper were involved in physically attacking a reporter and his cameraman.
Babacan was somehow only issued with a one-match ban.
Besiktas have a full strength side available with the fantastic four – Quaresma, Talisca, Babel and Cenk Tosun all starting.
The Black Eagles have been in great form, in fact they look unstoppable and it is difficult seeing Basaksehir hold out against the most dangerous attacking based side in the league.
Basaksehir could however exploit, Besiktas’ Achilles heel which is their defence.
The Istanbul minnows are currently just one point ahead third-placed Fenerbahce.
