Besiktas take on Basaksehir at the Fatih Terim Stadium knowing that a win could take them top of the Super Lig table.

The Black Eagles will be hoping to overtake reigning champions Galatasaray who were held to a 2-2 draw against Fenerbahce in the Intercontinental derby on Friday.

Just a few years ago playing Basaksehir would not have been considered a derby game. They were an insignificant, Istanbul based club with no fans.

The fact that this fixture is a big deal in 2018 shows just how far Basaksehir have come.

Besiktas will be without star winger Ricardo Quaresma who is suspended. Gokhan Tore meanwhile is out injured.

The Black Eagles will however, welcome back Jeremain Lens who returns from suspension.

Caner Erkun and Gary Medel will have to be careful as another booking will rule them out of the next game with an automatic suspension.

Liverpool loanee Loris Karius is set to start despite reports suggesting he will be dropped.

The keeper has started all 10 games for Besiktas since joining from the Reds.
