Bayern Munich Star Harry Kane Reacts to ‘Tough Game’ Against Galatasaray

Bayern Munich played host to a determined Galatasaray team who gave them a tough game at their own ground.

However, Bayern Munich ultimately prevailed thanks to two late goals from Harry Kane, which were enough to see off Cedric Bakambu’s consolation goal. Speaking after the game, Kane gave credit to Galatasaray for their performance.

Bayern ended up winning the Champions League Group A match day four game 2-1 to extend their lead at the top of the table with 12 points.

“It was a tough game, which is what we expected after the first leg,” Kane said in remarks captured by @iMiaSanMia. “We got into the dangerous zones well in the first half, the only thing missing was the last pass. We did better in the second half. I’m glad we advanced to the knockout stage.

“As a striker, I love scoring goals, being on the pitch and winning. I’m very happy to help the team and I’m happy to be here.”

The German giants beat Galatasaray in Istanbul 3-1 as well, the Reds also put on an impressive display in the first game despite the defeat.

Bayern have now won the group as leaders, Galatasaray meanwhile, are tied with Copenhagen on four points while Manchester United are last on three points.

Galatasaray, Copenhagen and United all still have a chance to qualify for the next round of the competition.

The Lions will face United next – who they beat 3-2 at Old Trafford last time the two sides met.

Kane has 19 goals and seven assists in 15 appearances in all competitions this season – four goals and two assists in the Champions League.
