Arsenal star Mesut Özil is unlikely to make a January move worth £30m move to Bayern Munich.
Özil is reported to be unhappy at Arsenal according to the Daily Mail however, the 25-year-old has not confirmed that he wants to leave the Gunners.
German newspaper Bild recently reported that Bayern Munich would not be making a move for Özil.
The Bild dismissed the report and underlined that Pep Guardiola is content with his two main attacking midfielders Mario Gotze and Thomas Muller.
Özil still has four-years left on his contract with Arsenal and is not expected to leave in January.
The Arsenal star has come under fire from sections of the press for his recent performances however, Wenger has always stood by the 25-year-old.
“The criticism is unfair because it’s post-World Cup, It takes a few months for them to get back to their best,” Wenger said.
“Fans need to be patient. You want your best players in every game but you have to be united and go through hard periods.”
Özil has been ruled out of out first team football for between 10 to 12 weeks after picking up a knee injury.
