Rodgers also revealed that he believes Beşiktaş have a strong team with quality attacking players.

“Besiktas have good players, a good front four with Demba Ba at the top of it,” Rodgers added.

Demba Ba famously scored against Liverpool last season while playing for Chelsea. Steven Gerrard’s infamous slip against the Blues allowed Ba a free run on goal to give the London based side the lead the lead.

The West London based club won the game 2-0 delivering a hammer blow to the Reds title challenge.

Ba has hit the back of the net 22 times in all competitions this season. The Senegalese international broke his previous record of 19 goals in a season last week.

Beşiktaş have the best away record in the Süper Lig, the Black Eagles have won nine out of 10 away games in the league this season.
