Besiktas have released a statement to the Istanbul stock exchange confirming that they will boycott the Turkish Cup semi-final game against Fenerbahçe.
The Black Eagles will boycott the Turkish Cup semi-final game against Fenerbahçe after the TFF’s decision to resume play from the point it was abandoned. Besiktas manager Şenol Güneş was taken to hospital after being struck on the head by an object from the crowd.
Besiktas also released a statement to their official website regarding the incident.
“For 115 years we have always won, drawn or lost on the pitch. But we refuse to lose a match due to backroom politics. We won’t take to the pitch on the 3rd of May.”
