Besiktas have joined the race to sign Manchester City striker Wilfried Bony according to the Takvim newspaper.
The Black Eagles are considering their options upfront with star striker Mario Gomez linked with a move to the Bundesliga and Premier League.
Gomez enjoyed an impressive breakthrough season scoring 28 goals in all competitions and playing a key role in Besiktas winning the league title.
Besiktas’ main priority is to keep Gomez on next season but will have to reach an agreement with Fiorentina who loaned him out last summer.
Gomez does not want to return to Italy but was offers from England and Germany which could tempt him to reconsider a return to Besiktas.
Besiktas will make an enquiry regarding whether the Ivory Coast international will be available on loan next season.
The Mirror however, claim that Bony is also a target for his former side Swansea City.
The powerful striker joined City on a £25 million move from Swansea but struggled to settle in despite scoring nine goals and providing six assists last season.
