Besiktas linked with Porto’s Ghanaian right back Opare
[divider]Besiktas have been linked with yet another right back today as the Black Eagles hunt goes on to add depth to their defence goes on.
According to the Turkish football website Skorer, Besiktas are in talks with Porto over signing the 24-year-old Ghana international.
However, Opare’s agent Duro Ivanisevic has ruled out his client leaving the Portuguese club in January.
“It is true that he is not playing, he is not relevant, but is not in our plans to let him move away in January,” Ivanisevic told the Game.
“After all, Daniel [Opare] is happy at the club, because he knows that Porto has a future for him. At least that’s what they tell us.”
“He was injured for a long time and this delayed his progress in Portugal. Now he is good and working well, though he wanted to be playing more as a player, he also knows that sooner or later will get a chance. He is not given up,” the agent added.
Sporting’s Junior Caiçara, Dinamo Zagreb’s Ivo Pinto, Cruzeiro’s Mayke and Udinese’s Cameroon international Nyom, Martin Linnes and Maxi Pereira have all been linked with the Istanbul based side over recent weeks.
The Black Eagles have played much of the season without a right-back due to injuries and a lack of depth.
Midfielders Necip Uysal and Atiba Hutchinson have had to fill in as make shift right-backs from time to time this season.
Opare has made just two appearances for Porto’s reserve side this season.
