Besiktas have officially announced that they are in talks with West Ham over the transfer of Gokhan Tore.
West Ham have signed Tore on a one-year loan deal for a £5 million upfront fee and a £13 million buyout clause option which the initial fee will be deducted from if the Hammers use their option on him.
The latest Besiktas statement may come as a surprise considering that the deal has already been completed however, Super Lig sides listed on the stock exchange are legally obliged to disclose transfer talks before announcing the transfer.
Besiktas released the following statement: “Besiktas have officially entered negotiations with West Ham over the loan transfer of Gokhan Tore.”
The latest statement is little more than a formality before the official transfer is disclosed to the public.
Tore is already in London and passed his medical yesterday. The Turkish international star is expected to put pen-to-paper on his new deal at some stage later today before officially being unveiled.
