The Black Eagles are set to offer the Dutch star a contract worth €5 million per-season according to Fanatik.

Beşiktaş are planning to reinvest some of the €14 million transfer fee from Demba Ba’s sale to Chinese giants Shanghai Shenhua in a replacement striker.

Club board member Yalçın Kaya Yılmaz confirmed that the club are preparing a move for Robin van Persie yesterday.

“If the conditions are right and if he also wants to come we are willing to make an offer even if it would push us to the limit financially,” Yılmaz told HaberTürk.

The future of Van Persie at United remains in doubt after the experienced striker struggled to hold down a regular spot in the starting lineup last season.

Beşiktaş finished last season in third place and are currently managed by former Turkish national team head coach Şenol Güneş.
