Besiktas are planning to send Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius back to his parent club in January according to the Fotomac.
The Turkish sports newspaper claims that the Black Eagles will part ways with several high paid players to reduce the wage bill following rising debts.
The Black Eagles terminated the contract of Pepe this week through mutual consent.
The 35-year-old signed a deal worth €9.5m over the course of the two-year deal he signed last summer.
Fotomac claim Karius could also have his move cut short as could the likes of Ryan Babel, Ricardo Quaresma and Adriano.
Babel and Adriano have just six-months remaining on their contracts, Quaresma meanwhile has an agreement until 2020.
All three players mentioned are reaching the end of their respective careers but Karius only joined last summer.
This is not the first time Fotomac have made bold claims about the German keeper.
Not long ago they were reporting Karius was on the verge of being dropped – which never ended up happening.

They also reported that Besiktas were planning to swap Karius with Liverpool forward Divock Origi – a fanciful story.
Turkish-Football reached out to Besiktas who made it clear that nothing has changed as far as they are concerned. The club is happy with Karius, as is head coach Senol Gunes.
The 25-year-old is first choice goalkeeper for the Black Eagles and has started every game he has been fit.
