Besiktas Reportedly Plan To Send Loris Karius Back To Liverpool In January & Replace Him With Fulham Outcast

Loris Karius cannot seem to go a week without a new report claiming Besiktas want to send him back to Liverpool and replace him.

Last week it was the Fotomac sports newspaper claiming that the Black Eagles want to send Karius back to England and bring in Divock Origi under the same terms.

The story was obviously complete fiction as I explained in my latest Guardian piece.

However, the same paper is back and this time with a new spin on a similar story.

Fotomac are now reporting that if Besiktas manage to convince Liverpool into replacing Karius with Origi that they will make Fulham an offer.

Per the source, there are three keepers on Besiktas’ wishlist Basaksehir keeper Volkan Babacan, Fabri and Antwerp shot-stopper Sinan Bolat.

Fabri joined Fulham from Besiktas over the summer but has started just two Premier League games this season.

The Spanish keeper has been left out of the squad for the last six league games and has not featured in the last nine.

Karius meanwhile, has conceded 16 goals in 11 starts for the Black Eagles this season keeping just one clean sheet.

Turkish-Football can however, confirm that Besiktas management still have faith in Karius and have no intention of sending him back.

Under the terms of the agreement, he cannot be sent back in January even if the club wanted to.

Karius is happy at Besiktas and despite reports claiming otherwise head coach Senol Gunes intends to keep playing him as his first choice keeper.
