Turkish giants Besiktas have intensified their efforts to sign Manchester United midfielder Casemiro before the Turkish transfer window closes next week according to A Spor.

Since the arrival of manager Ruben Amorim, Casemiro has fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford, leading to a decrease in playing time.

This has prompted the Brazilian to explore potential moves to secure regular first-team football.

Besiktas, managed by former United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, have emerged as strong contenders for his signature.

Solskjaer is reportedly keen on reuniting with the experienced midfielder, who he managed during his time at Manchester United.

While United may be reluctant to part ways with the influential midfielder, Casemiro’s desire for more playing time and Besiktas’ strong interest could make a move a possibility before the Turkish transfer window closes.

This potential transfer has generated significant interest, with both clubs now engaged in discussions to determine the feasibility of a deal.

Besiktas want to back their new manager over the transfer window and strengthen the squad.

The Black Eagles are already out of the title race but are still in contention for a top four finish which would book them a place in European competition next season.
