Yilmaz underwent an operation at the Acibadem Fulya Hospital for a foot injury.
The experienced striker is expected to return to training in approximately three-weeks time.
Yilmaz has one-year remaining on his contract but Besiktas do have the option to extend his deal by an additional season beyond summer 2020.

Avci took charge of Besiktas after resigning from his position as Basaksehir manager. Gunes meanwhile, is now head coach of the Turkey national team.
