Besiktas target Petr Cech 99% certain to join Arsenal

Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech is reported to have agreed terms with Arsenal according to the Daily Star.

The report claims that Cech is 99 percent certain to join the Gunners despite Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho previously claiming that the Czech Republic international would not be signing for another Premier League club.

“So for me, decision number one: Petr will stay. After that, second point to go but not in England. The option I don’t want is for him to go to an English club,” Mourinho was quoted as saying Sky Sports.

Beşiktaş are also reported to be in talks with Cech according to Lig TV.

The Turkish Süper Lig broadcasters stated that Cech’s agent Viktor Kolar has been in negotiations with the Black Eagles.

Chelsea have built strong ties with Beşiktaş recently, including consultation for youth development and future projects.

The London based club also played in a charity fundraiser for the Soma mining disaster against Beşiktaş and Istanbul rivals Fenerbahçe in the summer.
