Beşiktaş have been closely linked with Cech and made an enquiry for the experienced keeper in January.

The Black Eagles vice-president Ahmet Nur Çebi recently said that the club are happy with their current three keepers however, following a string of poor results and goalkeeping errors reports in Turkey suggest that the club will reconsider strengthening in the goalkeeping department.

Süper Lig providers Lig Tv also revealed today that talks between Cech and the Black Eagles are underway.

“We held initial talks with Beşiktaş at the start of the week, Petr wants to play at a club where he will be a first-team player” Kolar was quoted as saying.

Cech is reported as wanting regular first team football next season and is expected to move abroad after Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho ruled out a transfer to rival Premier League sides.

Beşiktaş recently signed Demba Ba and Gökhan Töre from Chelsea, both players have gone on to become stars at the Süper Lig outfit.

The Black Eagles are reported to be interested in making a marquee signing to mark the opening of the 42,1903 seater Vodafone Arena in the summer.
