Besiktas take on rivals Fenerbahce in the Istanbul derby at the Vodafone Park stadium on Sunday.
The derby is always a big deal but this time around it could mark a make or break moment for the Black Eagles.
The home side lost their first Champions League game of the season mid-week, suffering a 5-0 defeat to Bayern Munich.
Team moral is low following the loss and despite still being in the title race another defeat could mark disaster.
Besiktas are three points behind third placed Fenerbahce and six behind leaders Galatasaray.
The reigning Super Lig champions need a moral boost, they have not been at their best lately and there are rumours of discontent among the camp.
To make matters worse Besiktas are missing two key players in Pepe and Anderson Talisca.
Fenerbahce meanwhile are without Tottenham loanee Vincent Janssen and Martin Skrtel due to injury and Hasan Ali Kaldırım is suspended.
