Besiktas Want €50m For Tottenham Target, Striker Learning English

18-year-old phenom Semih Kılıçsoy, a bright spot in Beşiktaş’s otherwise challenging season, has been linked with a summer departure but the club won’t let him leave unless it is for a hefty price tag.

Dortmund and Tottenham are among the European giants eyeing the young talent, with Beşiktaş reportedly expecting a minimum €50 million fee according to the Turkiye newspaper.

This astronomical figure reflects Kılıçsoy’s potential and how highly Beşiktaş regard the striker.

Kilicsoy has nine goals and one assist in 22 appearances in all competition this term.

The club would ideally want to keep the forward on at the club next season as part of their team rebuilding effort after a disappointing campaign.

But if he does end up leaving the Black Eagles want to get maximum value from a potential deal.

A strong performance at EURO 2024 could further inflate Kılıçsoy’s value, potentially shattering the Black-Whites Turkish Super Lig transfer record currently held by Cenk Tosun (€23 million).

Kılıçsoy is actively preparing for his future move, taking English lessons and undergoing diction and media training. This demonstrates his professionalism and commitment to succeeding on a bigger stage.

Beşiktaş received a boost with the return of Rashica, Salih, and Svensson to training after recovering from injuries. However, Ghezzal and Tayfur Bingöl remain sidelined.

The young striker is hoping to break into the senior Turkish national team for Euro 2024 this summer.

Kilicsoy scored in the 2-0 victory over Konyaspor on Monday putting on a man of the match display.
