Birmingham City winger nearing summer exit just six-months after joining
Birmingham City winger Kerim Frei could be nearing a summer exit just six months after joining from Besiktas.
Frei has been linked with a return to Turkey but not to Besiktas.
A source close to Basaksehir revealed to Turkish-Football that they are keen on signing the 23-year-old.
The Istanbul minnows are planning to reinvest some of the €15 million they made from selling Cengiz Under to Roma.
Talks have been held and although they are still at an early stage the club are confident a deal will be reached.

Frei did not feature in Harry Redknapp’s plans after he replaced Gianfranco Zola towards the end of the season.
The Turkish international joined Birmingham on a £1.9 million [Transfermarkt] move from Besiktas last January.
The former Fulham youngster failed to make much of an impact and featured just 13 times for the Blues in the Championship scoring just one goal.
Despite struggling to settle in last season, Redknapp has yet to reveal whether he still has plans for Frei.
The Turkish international winger does still have another three-years remaining on his contract.
Good player: he should stay…
