“Bit of a home game for Arsenal” – Paul Merson reveals prediction for north London derby with Tottenham

Former Arsenal midfielder Paul Merson has revealed his prediction for this weekend’s north London derby.

Tottenham host their rivals at Wembley Stadium on Saturday, kick-off is scheduled for 12:30 (GMT).

Merson believes the Gunners will have no problem playing at Wembley this weekend due to their record at the national stadium.

However, Arsenal have just three victories to their name away from home so far this season. Furthermore, Tottenham have suffered only one defeat at home this term.

Merson went onto predict a 2-2 score draw which would favour neither side in the hunt for a top-four finish.

“This is a bit of a home game for Arsenal due to their Wembley record,” Paul Merson told SkySports.

“They’ve lost six away games this season, but have got one of the best records at Wembley in recent years.

“Spurs’ Wembley record is better than it was, but Arsenal have the ammunition to hurt them.”

Arsenal can cut the point gap between themselves and Tottenham down to one with a win this weekend.

Star playmaker Mesut Ozil is expected to feature for the Gunners this weekend. The 29-year-old recently put pen-to-paper on a new three-year deal.
