Blaming Sergio Ramos For Liverpool Keeper Loris Karius Mistakes Is Laughable Claims Former Germany International After Roasting Player

Former German national team player Uli Stein roasted Liverpool keeper Loris Karius for everything from the amount of time he spends on social media to claims he was concussed in the Champions League final.

Let’s just say Stein did not hold back in his scathing criticism of the keeper on loan at Besiktas.

Stein believes Karius probably finds posting photographs on social media more important than his form on the pitch and made it clear that the keeper will have to play ‘flawlessly’ for the next two years to return to form following his Champions League final blunder.

“He probably finds it more important to post beautiful pictures on Instagram and Facebook, as to bring performance on the pitch,” he was quoted as saying in Sport1.

“He would have to play flawlessly for a year or two and that’s very difficult for a goalkeeper.”

Karius made two errors in the final for the first and third goals in the 3-1 defeat but it turned out that he had been concussed [BBC] following an elbow from Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos.

It turns out Stein is not particularly sympathetic to the concussion story and found it worse than the actual mistakes he made in the final.

“I could only laugh about that [In regards to the concussion claims], something I’ve never heard in my life. This action was even worse for me than his mistakes in the final,” criticized Stein.

Karius is currently on loan at Besiktas where he has established himself as a first-choice keeper.

The 25-year-old has conceded six goals in six games and has been in relatively good form except for a wobble in the 2-0 defeat against Malmo.

Karius was criticized for conceding a soft long-range goal but the replays showed the shot – cross – took a wicked deflection.
