Bookmakers release odds for £30m Arsenal target, Turkish giants also given price

Arsenal Beşiktaş partnership

The bookmakers have released betting odds regarding Manchester City striker Wilfried Bony’s next club and surprisingly Arsenal are not favourites despite being linked with a £30 million move according to the Daily Star.

Everton are the bookies favourites to sign Bony at odds of 1.53 while Arsenal are second in line at 3.5.

The bookmakers are not ruling out the Ivory Coast international staying at the club after the summer which is priced at 9.

Besiktas are currently outsiders at 19.00 but feel they could attract City with a loan deal including a small fee.

A source close to the club told Turkish-football.com that the Black Eagles have Bony as one of the players on their striker shortlist with Liverpool striker Christian Benteke and Chelsea’s Loic Remy being among the other names being targeted.

The Istanbul giants are seeking a loan move and feel their track record at turning round the form of forwards struggling for goals will help them during negotiations.

It is worth nothing that Mario Gomez who joined from Fiorentina on a one-year loan last season had a poor spell at Italy but ended up top scorer at Besiktas and played a key part in winning the league which earned him a call-up as first choice striker for Germany at Euro 2016.
