United Kingdom based bookmakers have slashed Manchester United’s odds of signing Ilkay Gündoğan from Borussia Dortmund.
Manchester United have gone from 3/1 to 5/2 while Barcelona has risen from 2/1 to 13/8 and Bayern Munich has risen from 5/4 to 13/8.
The change in odds reflect recent reports of both Bayern and Barcelona cooling their interest in the 24-year-old upon hearing his wage demands.
Spanish radio station Onda Cero journalist and football commentator Alfredo Martinez confirmed the news on his official Twitter page. Martinez tweeted that Gündoğan will not be moving to the Nou Camp any time soon.
Bayern have reportedly pulled out of the race to sign the Germany international after the clubs technical director Michael Reschke voted against the move.
Arsenal are also still in the race to sign Gündoğan according to German newspaper Bild.
