Brazilian Midfielder Anderson Who Spent 7 Seasons At Man United Completes Transfer To Turkish Second-Tier Side Adanaspor

Brazilian midfielder Anderson has completed a move to Adana Demirspor, signing a three-year deal with the Turkish second-tier side.

Anderson will be a name familiar to Manchester United fans having spent seven seasons at the club.

The Brazilian joined United on a £28.35m [Transfermarkt] move from Porto in 2007 as a highly rated talent.

The 30-year-old scored five goals and provided eight assists in 105 Premier League appearances.

Anderson never ended up living up to his reputation and struggled to really make an impact at United.

He won the Premier League and Champions League in 2008 – scoring a penalty in the shootout victory over Chelsea in the final – and claimed the Golden Boy award for the best young player on the planet that year.

After struggling for playing time in the following seasons under Sir Alex Ferguson he was loaned out to Fiorentina under the management of David Moyes.

Louis van Gaal played him just twice over the 2014-15 season before joining Internacional on a free transfer in January 2015.

Anderson left United having won four Premier League titles in total.

The midfielder failed to make an impression at Coritiba last season making just 12 appearances in all competitions.
