Brighton Favourites to Sign €35m Rated Full-Back After Man United Pull Out Race

Manchester United have ruled out signing a new left-back this summer, despite persistent speculation linking them with several players according to The Athletic.

Per the source, United are ‘said to have decided against pursuing a left-back, ruling out a move for Fenerbahce’s Ferdi Kadioglu, despite reports in Turkey.’

Despite injuries to Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia, the club believes that their current options, including Diogo Dalot and academy graduate Harry Amass, are sufficient to cover the left-back position.

While there was interest in players like Ferdi Kadioglu and Adrien Truffert, United have decided against making a move for a new full-back at this time.

The latest development is a boost to Brighton’s efforts to sign the Turkish international full-back.

Romano tweeted on X that: ‘Ferdi Kadioglu’s long term deal at Brighton is ready and agreed in details. The player’s has confirmed to Fenerbahçe personal terms are in place with #BHAFC. He wants to play in Premier League and the two clubs are in talks to agree on transfer fee.’

That was before United entered the transfer race but with the Premier League giants now reportedly out of the picture it leaves Brighton in a strong position.

The club’s owners, Ineos, may reconsider their stance in the winter transfer window if the situation remains unchanged.

In the meantime, United will rely on their current squad to navigate the early part of the season. The club’s focus will be on ensuring that Shaw and Malacia return to full fitness as soon as possible.
