Brighton are in talks with Trabzonspor goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir according to Fanatik.
Per the source, the Premier League side face competition from Sevilla who are also at the negotiations table.
Sevilla and Brighton are both locked in talks with Trabzonspor over Cakir.
Trabzonspor want at least €20m for the 24-year-old goalkeeper.
The report claim that Cakir is also a Liverpool target and that several clubs are interested in the keeper.
Cakir has been linked with the Reds recently, in fact, Trabzonspor club president Ahmet Agaoglu spoke about the Liverpool link.
“There are offers for Cakir, we continue to receive offers. It’s been said Liverpool have made an offer,” Agaoglu said in January.
“So a team that is undefeated in the Premier League wants my keeper. In other words Liverpool’s goalkeeper is in my goal.”
The Turkey international wants to move to a top European league but it is unlikely he would be first pick at Liverpool who have Alisson Becker in goal.
Cakir wants to play first-team football and continue developing instead of waiting for his shot as a second choice keeper.
The keeper has given Trabzonspor the green light to negotiate on his behalf as long as they find him a club where he will play regularly.
The Black Sea based side finished last season as runners-up and won the Turkish Cup but they will not feature in the Champions League this season after being suspended from the tournament due to not meeting their Financial Fair Play (FFP) agreement.
Trabzonspor have to sell players this summer to fall in line with FFP.
Cakir was a star player for Trabzonspor last season making a total of 43 appearances in all competitions.
The 1.91m tall keeper has two caps for Turkey.
