Fenerbahçe defender Bruno Alves has reached a pre-agreement with Porto according to Sabah.

The Portuguese international has been linked with a move away from Turkey this January after falling out of favour with manager İsmail Kartal.

Alves hasn’t played for the Yellow Canaries since receiving a red card in the Intercontinental Derby against rivals Galatasaray.

The 32-year-old defender currently earns €2.3 million per season but Porto could sign Alves on a cut price deal if Fenerbahçe still want to sell in January.

Alves had previously ruled out a move away from Fenerbahçe and underlined that he wants to remain at the club.

“I have a contract with Fenerbahçe and want to stay at the club,” Alves said speaking ahead of Portugal’s Euro 2016 qualification game against Armenia.

The powerful centre back has made six appearances for Fenerbahce this season.
