Bundesliga side Hannover 96 have joined the race to sign Sunderland defender Papy Djilobodji.
The Senegalese defender has been linked with a move away from the Black Cats ever since they were relegated to League One.
According to the Turkish outlet Fotomac, Hanover want to sign Djilobodji on a permanent deal this summer. The news comes as a blow to Trabzonspor who are hoping to sign the 29-year-old on a season-long loan deal.
Meanwhile, Sabah claim that Trabzonspor have already managed to strike a deal with Sunderland over a loan move.
Djilobodji is expected to leave the club this summer after failing to report back for training. Trabzonspor have until September 1 to finalise the transfer.
