Leicester City defender Caglar Soyuncu started in the goalless draw against Wolves in the Premier League on Sunday.

Soyuncu struggled for playing time last season but was given a starting role in the first game of the 2019-20 campaign today.

The Turkey international filled in for Harry Maguire who joined Manchester United on an £80m move.

Soyuncu put on an impressive display making 77 passes with a 92 percent accuracy. The powerful defender made three tackles, three clearances and was dominant in the air winning five aerial duals.

BBC Radio Leicester reporter Matt Piper who covered the game awarded Soyuncu with the Man of the Match award.

Soyuncu joined the Foxes on a £20m move from Freiburg last summer but fell behind Maguire, Johnny Evans and Wes Morgan in the pecking order.

With Maguire gone and 36-year-old Morgan reaching the end of his career Soyuncu could establish himself as a first-choice defender for Brendan Rodgers this term.

Leicester City take on Chelsea next at Stamford Bridge.
