Hakan Çalhanoğlu said he is good at hitting the corner of the goal from set-pieces after scoring a free-kick in Bayer Leverkusen’s 5-1 win against FC Cologne.
“I took a long time setting myself to take that free-kick. I’m good at hitting that corner,” Çalhanoğlu said.
The Turkish international also shared an image with his teammates Bellarabi and Son via his Twitter account.
The Turkish international has now scored 15 direct free-kicks in the last 2.5 seasons.
Çalhanoğlu was named best young player of the 2013/14 season by leading German football magazine 11 Freunde.
The 20-year-old has now scored six goals and provided six assists in all competitions this season.
Çalhanoğlu joined Bayer on a €14.5 million move from HSV this summer – the highest transfer fee ever made for a Turkish international.
