Inter Milan star Hakan Calhanoglu believes that the team has not been affected by their loss to Manchester City in the Champions League final.

Calhanoglu told FCInterNews that the team is still hungry and determined to win trophies, despite the disappointment of losing to City.

He said that the team went toe-to-toe with City, who are regarded as one of the best teams in Europe, and that they had chances to equalize in the final.

The Turkish international said that the team is not suffering from a Champions League hangover and that they are ready to challenge for trophies this season.

“It’s been two incredible years for me here,” Calhanoglu said.

“Losing [the Champions League final] in Istanbul hurt.

But we’re on the right path. We want to keep going in this direction.”

The Turkish international is pleased with his recent contributions to the team, including his first goal from open play this season in the 3-0 away win against Napoli.

Calhanoglu has been playing a more versatile role for Inter, and his transition to a holding midfield position has allowed him to make more significant contributions both offensively and defensively.

Inter are currently first in Serie A two points ahead of second placed Juventus.

Calhanoglu has seven goals and one assist in all 14 appearances in all competitions this season.
