Cardiff City are interested in Trabzonspor star Bakasetas according to Turkish sports newspaper Fanatik.
Bakasetas’ contract with Trabzonspor is expiring, and he has not accepted the club’s new contract offer.

His departure is being discussed, with English clubs such as AEK and Cardiff City linked to him.
Trabzonspor do not want to let Bakasetas go without receiving a transfer fee therefore will consider good offers for him in January; as things stand the Greek international will leave as a free agent at the end of the season if the Süper Lig side do not sell him over the winter transfer window.
Cardiff City meanwhile are managed by Turkish manager Erol Bulut, who knows Trabzonspor well.
The Championship side want Bakasetas as a free transfer.
Ideally, Trabzonspor want a transfer fee as the club is in financial trouble but seeing Bakasetas leave early would also free up the wage bill.
Bakasetas has four goals and two assists in 13 appearances in all competitions this season.
