Everton set sights on £12m Celta Vigo winger after missing out on him last summer

Enes Unal Emre Mor Cengiz Under Man Untied transfer news

Celta Vigo winger and Turkey international Emre Mor could be on his way to the Premier League this summer.

The 21-year-old has struggled to maintain his form since breaking into the Turkey national team aged 18. Mor made an unsuccessful move to Borussia Dortmund before joining Celta Vigo last summer for £12 million.

Mor has been unable to fulfil his potential while at the La Liga side and has experienced several confrontations with Celba boss Juan Carlos Unzue.

A source close to Emre Mor has revealed to Turkish-Football.com that Everton are among several English clubs interested in signing the flamboyant winger on a season-long loan.

Everton were previously linked with More prior to his move from Dortmund to Celta Vigo.

Meanwhile, the Turkish outlet Fanatik has linked both Galatasaray and Fenerbahce with a move for the 21-year-old.

In a recent interview with SporX, Mor stated that he is not interested in a move to Turkey at this stage of his career and that he is happy at Celta Vigo.

“I am not thinking about a move to Turkey, I am happy at Celta,” Mor told SporX.

“I could have gone to a different team last summer but came to Celta as they prioritise developing young players like myself.”

It is unclear whether Mor will be open to a move to the Premier League this summer.

Mor provided three assists and scored one goal in 27 appearances for Celta last season. The 21-year-old has four-years remaining on his contract with the La Liga club.
