Besiktas are the latest side to be linked with a move for Celtic centre-back Dedryck Boyata.

The Belgium international was closely linked with a move away from the Scottish giants over the summer. Celtic turned down offered from Fenerbahce, Fulham and Sevilla.

Despite Boyata entering the final year of his contract with Celtic, The Bhoys are keen to keep hold of the 27-year-old.

Boyata will be able to hold talks with European clubs from January 1 onwards and could end up leaving the club for free next summer.

A source from within Besiktas has revealed to Turkish-Football.com that the Black Eagles are weighing up a move for Boyata.

Per the source, the club wants to have a replacement ready if Domagoj Vida leaves the club. The Croatia international has been closely linked with a move to Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad.

Despite signaling his intention to leave Celtic over the summer, Boyatta has regained his place in Brendan Rodgers starting eleven.
