Champions League nominates Cenk Tosun alongside Tottenham & Chelsea star’s for goal of the week award after 106km strike

Besiktas made history yesterday becoming the first Turkish side to ever beat Porto in European competition.

The Black Eagles recorded a 3-1 win over the Portuguese giants away from home in their opening Champions League Group G clash.

Cenk Tosun scored the goal of the night with a shot from 32 metres which reached speeds of 106 km/h [Sporx].

Tosun now has three goals and one assist in six appearances for the Black Eagles in all competitions this season.

The powerful striker also scored the winning goal in Turkey’s 1-0 win over Croatia in their latest World Cup qualifier.

The 26-year-old striker also won goal of the group stages during the last Champions League game for his stunning strike against Benfica.

The Turkish international star was selected alongside Tottenham striker Harry Kane, Chelsea forward Pedro, Andriy Yarmolenko of Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona legend Lionel Messi.
