Galatasaray have stepped up efforts to sign Liverpool forward Divock Origi according to the latest reports to emerge from Turkey.
Turkish-Football first reported that the Lions were plotting a move for the Belgium international on 10 October.
The story has developed quite a bit since then.
The Milliyet newspaper are now claiming that the Lions are in talks with both Liverpool and Origi’s representatives.
Per the source, Galatasaray initially submitted a 1.5 year loan offer which the Reds rejected as it would effectively have seen Origi leave on a free transfer following the move.
The Lions revised their offer to a six-month deal with a buyout clause option.
Negotiations are ongoing but a deal has yet to be reached.
The reigning Super Lig champions have made signing a striker a priority in January after failing to replace Bafetimbi Gomis who scored 32 goals last term.
Galatasaray would be able to offer Champions League football should they reach the next round of the competition.
The Istanbul giants could however, face competition from Liverpool rivals Everton.

The Aksam newspaper report that the Toffees are planning to sign Origi and if they do one of Cenk Tosun or Oumar Niasse will be given the green light to leave.
Origi has struggled for playing time this season failing to make a single appearance for the first team.
The 23-year-old has another two-years remaining on his contract but does not currently appear to be part of head coach Jurgen Klopp’s plans.
