Champions League Side Miss Out On Signing Liverpool Ace Who Completes Bundesliga Move To Hertha Berlin

Galatasaray have missed out on the chance to sign Marko Grujic on a loan deal after he completed his move to Bundesliga outfit Hertha Berlin according to the official Liverpool website.

The Serbia midfielder signed a new contract with the Reds before joining the German side on a one-year loan, subject to international clearance.

Hertha finished the Bundesliga in 10th place last season.

Turkish-Football reported that the Lions were interested in signing Grujic on a temporary move and would have been able to offer Champions League football this season.

The Istanbul giants lifted the league title last season for a record 21st time.

The Lions are keen on signing a central midfielder before the end of the Super Lig transfer window on 1 September.

Grujic helped Cardiff City ensure Premier League promotion last season and will enjoy his first stint in the Bundesliga over the 2018-19 campaign.

The Serbia international has made just 14 senior appearances for Liverpool since joining from Red Star Belgrade in 2016.

The 22-year-old was part of the Serbia national team squad at the World Cup in Russia.
