Chelsea green light sale of £27m star Cesc Fabregas this summer

Chelsea are prepared to offload star midfielder Cesc Fabregas to Galatasaray this summer.

Turkish sports media outlet AMK state that talks between Galatasaray manager Igor Tudor and Chelsea boss Antonio Conte have taken place.

Per the source, Conte does not have plans for Cesc in his side next season.

Conte played alongside Igor Tudor during his playing career at Juventus. Tudor was appointed as Galatasaray manager last month.

The Croatian tactician has got off to a turbulent start but has already started making preparations for next season.

AMK also state that Tudor wants to offload Wesley Sneijder as the Netherlands international doesn’t fit into his system. Much like Antonio Conte, Tudor has opted to use a 3-5-2 formation.

Cesc Fabregas has made the majority of his appearances for Chelsea off the bench this season.

The World Cup winner has eight assists and five goals to his name after 26 games for the Blues.

The 29-year-old joined Chelsea for Barcelona for £27 million back in 2014 (Telegraph).

Galatasaray are currently third in the Turkish league table, nine points behind leaders Besiktas and seven behind second placed Basaksehir.
