Chelsea defender linked with move to Turkish club after failing to make an appearance since 2012

Bursaspor are the latest Turkish Super Lig side to join the race to sign Chelsea defender Kenneth Omeruo.

The Green Crocodiles have made major changes to their squad following the appointment of Samet Aybaba as manager over the summer.

The experienced Turkish tactician has now identified Omerou as a key transfer target.

According to the Turkish outlet Olay, Aybaba has made the signing of the Chelsea defender a top priority this summer.

Per the source, Chelsea are now willing to offload Omeruo on loan after failing to sell him on a permanent deal this summer.

The Nigeria international is no stranger to the Turkish Super Lig after spending three seasons in Turkey with Kasimpasa and Alanyaspor.

Omeruo spent last season on loan with Kasimpasa where he made a total of 28 appearances.

The 24-year-old still has two years remaining on his contract with Chelsea. Despite joining the London based club back in 2012, he is yet to make a senior appearance for the Blues.
