Chelsea linked Marco Silva could be on his way to the Turkish League

Former Watford and Hull City boss Marco Silva has been linked with the Trabzonspor job.

Silva was recently fired from the Hornets after expressing an interest in the Everton job months before.

The young manager has impressed during his time in England and has even been linked with the Chelsea job.

Former Bliues midfielder Craig Burley has even backed the appointment of Marco Silva as new Blues manager if Antonio Conte is fired.

However, according to the Turkish outlet Fotospor, Trabzonspor are also interested in appointing the Portuguese tactician.

Per the source, the clubs management are becoming increasingly unhappy with currently manager Rıza Calımbay and are contemplating a change.

The report goes onto state that Trabzonspor have singled out Silva as a potential replacement if they part company with Calımbay.

Trabzonspor currently find themselves in seventh spot with 32 points after 20 games.

The Black Sea based club are 11 points behind league leaders Istanbul Basaksehit.
