A source close to the player revealed to Turkish-Football that the Blues have decided to continue scouting Ozer for the rest of the season.

The reigning Premier League champions will be keeping close tabs on Ozer and the Altinordu side.

The Izmir based outfit have one of the most highly acclaimed academy setups in Turkey.

Altinordu were responsible for producing Cengiz Under who went onto become the most expensive Turkish international to leave Turkey when Roma snapped him up for €15 million this summer.

Caglar Soyuncu also moved from Altinordu directly to Freiburg where he has established himself as a first team regular.

The Blues could face competition from Manchester City for Ozer.

Altinordu president Mehmet Ozkan recently confirmed City making an offer over the summer and revealed they will support Berke in his pursuit of Premier League football.

“We want him to play in Europe, if Berke has a great season the odds of him moving to the Premier League are high,” Ozkan said in Emre Sarigul’s latest article for the Guardian.

“Manchester City already made him an offer. We will see what the future holds.”

Berke was recently named in the Guardian Next Generation series, 60 best young talents in world football.
