Chelsea have recalled striker David Datro Fofana from his loan spell at Turkish Süper Lig club Goztepe S.K.
The 22-year-old Ivorian international will return to Stamford Bridge to undergo rehabilitation after suffering a serious knee injury during his time in Turkey.

Fofana’s recall will free up an international loan spot for Chelsea, enabling them to potentially facilitate the departure of another player before the transfer window closes.
This move will allow the club to better manage their loan player limits while also providing Fofana with the necessary support for his recovery within the club’s medical facilities.
Fofana joined Goztepe in September and scored two goals in nine appearances for the Turkish club.
He had previously enjoyed loan spells at Burnley and Union Berlin since joining Chelsea from Molde in January 2023 for a fee of £10 million.
The young striker will now focus on his recovery at Cobham, aiming to return to full fitness and potentially contribute to the Chelsea first team in the future.
